BloodCenter of Wisconsin BloodCenter of Wisconsin partners with many different entities in La Crosse to provide blood to patients in Wisconsin, including 100% of the blood sent to help patients at Gundersen Lutheran and Franciscan Skemp Healthcare. Drives are held in the La Crosse area and surrounding communities with schools, businesses, churches and other civic groups. Additionally, we have a Donor Center in La Crosse, see donation hours below.

Teri and Randi of LaCrosse have been inseparable their entire lives. As premature babies at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, the twin girls both received a blood transfusion at birth. Premature babies start out with fewer red blood cells, so they need blood transfusions to keep the blood count normal. Giving back and helping to sustain the community blood supply is a family affair. The young women and their parents are all regular blood donors with BloodCenter of Wisconsin. Their grandmother also volunteers regularly at blood drives at Gundersen. |
